Wood Carving Course

Would you like to learn how to carve spoons, bowls or other useful things that you can bring on your next trip in the wilderness?

Join Björn Byers' carving course with the forest as your workshop! You will learn the basics of carving in nature with tasty coffee around an open fire.

Learn the basics of carving in a calm and natural environment with guide and craftsman Björn Byers. During an afternoon you will learn about wood - an absolutely fantastic natural material. We will go through different tree species and their properties as well as how the right of way applies in our Swedish forests. Around the fire we will learn about the craft itself - safe knife handling, different carving grips and the process of creating your own wooden tools, such as spoons, spoons or kitchen equipment.

Enjoy a calming and creative activity in the forest where knife meets wood to carve away everything that is not a spoon or spoon in the piece of wood. Experience the pride of taking something home that you have created with your own hands and materials from nature. The course is designed for beginners, but those with some experience and who want to further develop their techniques and get practical tips are also welcome.
We keep the fire burning, offer coffee and hot water, and make pancakes served with cream and summer berries.
